Juniper Green Energy signs PPA to set up 1 GW RE capacity – Asia Pacific

Juniper Green Energy has announced a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SJVN, securing a firm and dispatchable 320 MW renewable energy contract. This agreement forms the basis for the development of approximately 1 GW of capacity in the two states of Gujarat and Rajasthan.

This 25-year PPA, insured at a rate of INR 4.38 with state-owned SJVN, reinforces its commitment to sustainable energy and strategic growth objectives.

This PPA is touted as the company’s largest project execution to date and pushes Juniper Green Energy’s operational and under-construction capacity to an impressive 2.5 GW.

With this PPA, the company is venturing into more complex and technical solutions to deliver robust and controllable renewable energy with energy storage and hybrid energy projects.

Through this project, Juniper Green Energy expects an annual production of 2,179 MU, which will offset approximately 20,41,811 tonnes of CO2 annually.

Such initiatives are expected to significantly improve energy access for approximately 4.34 lakh households, thereby promoting substantial community development and supporting regional sustainability efforts.
