Los Angeles Weather: Late season storms will bring light rain, cold temperatures and wind to Southern California on Sunday

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Southern California will see some light rain on Sunday, but it should clear up in time for your afternoon plans.

Light rain will begin in Santa Barbara County Saturday evening, and parts of Ventura and Los Angeles counties will also see spotty showers overnight through Sunday.

Early Sunday morning, showers will move into the Inland Empire, then into San Diego County and finally into the Low Desert.

By 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, most of the rain is expected to clear from our area, making way for a mostly clear day.

Breakdown of the SoCal forecast for Sunday

Los Angeles and Orange counties will see a few passing showers early Sunday morning, followed by clearing skies and gusty winds. The highest level will reach 68.

Similar conditions are expected in the Valleys and the Inland Empire. Sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures return Monday with temperatures in the low 70s.

The beaches will see some light morning showers on Sunday, giving way to a partly cloudy day with temperatures in the low 60s.

A high of 49 is expected in the mountains with 40% rain and snow in the morning.

The deserts may also see some light showers with a high of 59 degrees and gusty winds.
